"A wonderful summit this year, and I already look forward to going to Portland.
You can hear the same thing many times, but the same advice hits home differently depending on what’s going on at the time. I left this year’s summit (and I state publicly) more resolved to not be in the same comfortable ruts. Transcription is not the same as it was years ago, and many new skills and services have popped up. Also, I need to start working towards having some "freedom" from the business while it still runs without me.
"Dinner with Strangers" was great this year because of the people at my end of the table. Inspirational, very educational, and social all at the same time. Time for the old dog to learn some new "social networking" tricks!
Lara and Katie — I finished two more colors of the scarf, and learned about the "duplicate stitch." I see where it can be used on this piece, and will first try it on a practice swatch. More knitting (and more knitters) next year, please!
I had breakfast with a client/friend of 17 years on Saturday morning — also one of the highlights of the trip.
Back to business."
